Montgomery Lodge followed a breakfast 3rd Degree held by Andrews #529 with a evening picnic/open house to kick off Memorial Day weekend. There were over 75 Brothers, their families, and friends there to enjoy some great smoked Boston Butts and to honor one of Montgomery's leaders John Dyer. John is Past Master, a great catechism coach, and a true custodian of the work. As of late, he has been beset by sickness. But, he still continues to support and attend his Lodge helping coach and instruct on degree work every chance he gets. We also had Bro. Chip Siller and the Wayfaring Strangers playing some great Bluegrass Music as pre-dinner entertainment. A great time was had by all!
